Help us to help people in need!
Education
Education is essential if people are to achieve independence, not to be dependent on others all their lives, and to be able to assess and use the opportunities that the world has to offer. This is why educational services are a high priority in the wortundtat projects. What type of education is needed and why varies from country to country.
Health
Illnesses are not necessarily life-threatening. But they can easily become it without treatment. That happens if sick people cannot afford a doctor or have no access to one. Here, wortundtat partners provide help wherever the state health system does not reach people who need support or treatment.
Social welfare
Alongside state welfare services, non-governmental organisations are essential world-wide when services are needed for people requiring special assistance. At wortundtat, social welfare services have often been the starting point of our work. In all the projects, they also offer people the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith.
„God loves people.
We show them – in word and deed.”
Learn about our work
New vocational and spiritual prospects where there was once a lack of opportunities to participate in society.
Active, individual help for people who are not adequately supported by other services.
Loving affection combined with the message that everyone is one of God’s beloved creatures.
These features are the hallmarks of the services that wortundtat, together with its partners, provides in various parts of the world.
Greece – Hellenic Ministries
Our partner, Hellenic Ministries, provides a wide range of services to people in Athens who cannot find help elsewhere. The team reaches out to poor Greeks, Eastern Europeans and to refugees who are stranded in Athens. A community centre helps Roma people to integrate into Greek society.
Tanzania – KIUMA
Our partner KIUMA runs a secondary school in a very remote part of the country. Training facilities create vocational prospects for young adults, and people from far afield can be treated in a hospital with around 100 beds.
Republic of Moldova – Gloria
Medical specialists from our partner Gloria examine and treat patients in the outpatient clinic or at home. Welfare services help the hungry, the homeless and other people in need. In the community centre, the helpers welcome children and treat them with loving care.
Germany – Star in the North
In the large community centre run by our partner, children have room to play and learn. They are treated with love and attention. Parents find people to talk to and opportunities to chat, and young people have room for their own activities. The centre is a beacon of light amidst the challenges facing this multicultural quarter.
You can either run away – or stay and help.

wortundtat – Our annual report
In the first quarter of each year, we publish a comprehensive overview of our work in our annual report, which also includes the latest news from the projects. We are happy to send you our latest report by post. You can also download it here as a pdf file.

wortundtat – Helping people in need for over 45 years
The Christian aid organisation wortundtat has been helping people in need for over 45 years. Today, we support projects in Germany, Greece, the Republic of Moldova and Tanzania. The aim of our work: We help people in need along the path to a life of dignity. We enable them to help themselves. And, with the Christian faith, we show them a foundation that can still offer support even to people who are well-fed and healthy.
